Maintenance Planner

Indorama at Fontana, California, is looking to immediately hire a FT Maintenance Planner to join our team.
Monday - Friday Pay 8am- 4:40pm. pays $32 - $33, depending on experience. Reports to Plan Reliability Manager. We have 4 Alternative schedules 4 days 10 hours.

Job Description: This person must be highly organized, able to work in a self-directed environment and direct others. Willing to spend time out on the production floor with mechanics and see issues/requests out on the floor. Must be computer proficient, have good writing and teamwork skills. This position reports to the Plant Reliability Maintenance Manager and is a key contributor to the overall success of the Maintenance team.

Maintenance Planner Responsibilities:

• Works closely with the Plant Reliability Maintenance Manager to develop and communicate relevant KPI's for the maintenance team PM Compliance %, Overdue PM's, Schedule Adherence, % PM Executed.
• Creates purchase requisitions for planned work.
• Create Work Orders and close Work Orders in a timely Manner.
• Manage work orders using SAP Plant Maintenance.
• Update equipment and preventative maintenance plans in SAP Plant Maintenance.
• Once a job is planned and estimated, prior to scheduling, verifies the availability of parts, materials and special tools required for its execution.
• Identifies and obtains (requisitions, orders, kits as appropriate and in keeping with procedures) determinable materials, entering material needs on the work order.
• Assist Storeroom function in the kitting and staging of job material requirements.
• Serving as the owner of the plant work order system and scheduling process for PM, active work orders capital and improvement projects work orders.
• Assist in PM and standardized work writing as needed.
• Fully plan work orders, including internal operations, material purchases/requisitions, service purchases, labor purchases
• Backup to the Storeroom Clerk.
• Take responsibility for the CMMS Data Base and data integrity.
• Provide ongoing transparency of spare parts inventory levels and ensure continuous inventory accuracy.
• Monitor equipment problems.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful campaign execution

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• BA in Mechanical Engineering or a minimum of 5- years equivalent experience.
• 3 Years of CCMS software Experience.
• 2-3 years in relevant maintenance planning Role.
• Strong written and English verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs. stoop, bend, descend stairs, ladders and walk.
