**Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure high-quality labels are produced efficiently and safely. This role involves inspection, testing, rework, and packing activities in adherence to established procedures.
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure high-quality labels are produced by performing inspections, testing, rework, and packing activities.
+ Follow safety and operating procedures for all plant and ancillary equipment; report hazards to the supervisor.
+ Verify work orders meet sales order requirements.
+ Communicate quality issues with press operators as they arise.
+ Assemble packaging for finished labels and attach identifying tags or labels to products as required.
+ Load labels and packaging materials to and from conveyors, boxes, and pallets by hand.
+ Count and verify output to meet work order requirements.
+ Inspect and test labels to ensure they conform to specifications and standards.
+ Operate production equipment including rub testers, label rewinders, and label application testing machines.
+ Monitor production runs for quality defects and complete required documentation for timekeeping, housekeeping, and maintenance.
+ Perform housekeeping duties and routine maintenance on production and testing equipment.
+ Report maintenance issues and enter maintenance requests for repairs as needed.
+ Meet or exceed label production targets and participate in production, safety, and departmental meetings.
+ Cross-train in other label production department roles and work as a back-up in other roles as assigned.
+ Handle other projects and duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in production, quality assurance, and quality control.
+ Familiarity with GMP and FDA regulations.
+ Ability to perform inspections and maintain general production standards.
+ Proficiency in operating production equipment and performing maintenance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of batch record keeping.
+ Ability to meet key performance indicators such as Health and Safety Incident Rate, Plant Return Rate, Laminate Waste, First Pass Yield, Utilization and Efficiency, and Work Order On-time Completion.

**Work Environment**
The work environment involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts with a moderate noise level. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on their feet for long periods. Manual dexterity and motor skills are essential. The role requires working both independently and closely with others in an indoor setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fresno, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
