Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Newburyport, MA 01950 (Massachusetts physical therapy jobs)
• Setting: Inpatient Hospital (clinical support)
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Physical Therapist Contract)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 6, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Schedule: Day Shift, Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00am – 5:30pm
• Hours: 40 hours per week, every other weekend required
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 weekly
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2120 - $2180

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist (PT) license required
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient physical therapy experience
• COVID-19 vaccination (including booster) and flu vaccination required (no declinations accepted)
• Must not have worked (perm or travel) at any Beth Israel facility within the past 6 months
• Local candidates not accepted (travel assignment only)

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive inpatient physical therapy services, including women's health, vestibular, pelvic rehab, and general hospital-based care
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, exercises, and home care strategies
• Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled
