Responsibilities

• This role is ideal for individuals looking to grow their accounting career in a supportive environment
• The Staff Accountant will assist in various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards while contributing to the overall financial health of the organization
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Sales Tax Returns
• Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliation
• Support accounts payable and purchasing processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking
• Prepare financial reports and assist in financial report interpretation for management review
• Process expense reports and train co-workers on completing this process.

Language
• Fluency in English is required. Spanish speaking is a plus.

Job Type: Position will start at Part- time hours 12pm to 6pm M thru F *can become a full time position

Requirements

Experience 2-5 years of Accounting experience is required in a small to medium sized company

Associates Degree in Business or Accounting is REQUIRED however we will consider relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Familiarity with public accounting is advantageous.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes is required.

Knowledge of financial concepts including accrual accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial management is required.

Experience with ERP is required. Preferred Sage/Sage Intacct experience

Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial analysis and account analysis effectively

Proficiency with Google suite is required.

Proficiency with AI/Chat GPT & Internal Chat programs is required.

Salary Description

28.00-30.00 per hour
