Title: Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician - 24-Hour Call Position

Location: Northern California

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated OB/GYN physician to join our team on a locum tenens basis in Northern California. This position entails providing 24-hour call coverage for our obstetrics and gynecology department, ensuring continuous care and support for our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients in need, including prenatal care, labor and delivery management, gynecologic surgeries, and postpartum care.
• Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, offering expert medical assessment and intervention as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, and specialists, to ensure coordinated and patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Valid medical license to practice in California.
• Proven experience in obstetrics and gynecology, with proficiency in managing both routine and high-risk pregnancies, performing obstetric and gynecologic surgeries, and addressing complex gynecological issues.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound clinical decisions in emergency situations.
• Availability to provide 24-hour call coverage on a rotational basis.
