Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to oversee equity management, sales tax compliance, general liability and financial compliance, and NetSuite implementation. This role is crucial in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing accounting systems to support business growth.

Role & Responsibilities:

Equity Management:

• Maintain accurate records of stock-based compensation, equity grants, and vesting schedules.


• Work closely with legal and HR teams to ensure compliance with equity compensation regulations.


• Reconcile and report on equity-related financial activities, including 409A valuations.

Sales Tax & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with multi-state and international sales tax regulations.


• Prepare and file sales tax returns, manage audits, and liaise with tax authorities.


• Monitor legislative changes affecting sales tax and implement necessary adjustments.

General Liability & Financial Compliance:

• Manage and track general liability accounting, including risk assessment and expense reporting.


• Assist in financial reporting and audits to ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.


• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.

NetSuite Implementation & System Optimization:

• Lead and assist in the implementation of NetSuite ERP, ensuring proper setup and data migration.


• Optimize accounting workflows within NetSuite for better efficiency and reporting accuracy.


• Provide training and support to finance team members on NetSuite functionalities.

What You Offer:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.


• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a fast-paced or SaaS environment.


• Strong knowledge of GAAP, sales tax regulations, and equity accounting.


• Proficiency in Avalara and other sales tax automation tools


• Hands-on experience with NetSuite implementation and ERP system optimization.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software, with a preference for experience in Netsuite


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


• Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
