EHDD is seeking a thoughtful and passionate Project Architect I to join our team in San Francisco. Project Architect works independently contributing to design and documentation coordination, including development of design drawings, technical documentation, and leading project team assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contributes to and coordinates concept design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation, in collaboration with the Senior Project Architect and Project Manager
- Plan, develop, and execute technical documentation which may include interpreting, organizing, and coordinating project team assignments and coordinating with consultants, contractors, fabricators and regulatory agencies.
- Perform construction administration duties, including RFIs, submittals, bulletins, site observations, etc.
- Execute applicable agency review analysis, including accessibility, zoning, life safety, etc.
- Manage early client relationships under the direction of Project Manager.
- Mentor and train junior staff members.
- Contribute to a creative and congenial office environment.
- Support the firm's mission through behavior consistent with the core values.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree from an accredited school of architecture required.
- LEED or similar accreditation preferred.
- Licensed in CA.
- 5-10 years experience in a Design or Architectural practice.
- Strong 3D visualization skills and ability to communicate design direction to a client.
- Proficiency with Revit (required), AutoCAD and other 3D modeling software [Rhino/3DS Max/Grasshopper].
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite [Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint].
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-rounded design, presentation and technical skills.
