This position provides valuable opportunity to work closely with management and Executive team members in a fast-paced environment that is never boring! The Budget Analyst assists in developing and monitoring the California Conservation Corps’ budget, including developing required schedules, documentation, etc., for the Proposed Governor’s Budget and assists in the development and implementation of budget allocations and out-of-state travel requests; ensures that the department maintains historical financial and budgetary information; assists in developing Budget Change Proposals and Budget Revisions. Working Conditions

The reporting location for this position is at CCC HQ located at 1719 24th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.

Please Note: This position is classifie d as “Hybrid” and is currently eligible for full time telework due to on-going renovations at CCC Headquarters (HQ) located at 1719 24th Street, Sacramento, CA. However:

  • You may be occasionally required to work from the CCC Sacramento Center location (570 Bercut Drive, Sacramento, CA) based on business need (printing, mailing, meetings, etc.).
  • Once HQ renovations are complete, you will be notified and the in-office reporting location will revert to HQ (anticipated return is July or later) and this position will revert to a “Hybrid” schedule of up to three days of telework per week, with a minimum of two days of in-office work.
  • Effective July 1, 2026, there is a Statewide mandate that requires a work schedule of four days of in-office work per week for all “Hybrid eligible positions.

  • Must have working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge with FI$Cal is preferred.

Eligibility Information

In order to be considered for the job vacancy you must satisfy one of the following requirements:

  1. List Eligibility – Successfully complete the civil service exam for Analyst 2or . Please refer to the exam bulletin for the frequency of administration of this exam.
  2. Transfer Eligibility – Must have current employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable. If in a different classification, you must meet the minimum qualifications (see Minimum Qualifications section and associated links above).
  3. Reinstatement Eligibility – Previously obtained permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable. If in a different classification, you must meet the minimum qualifications (see Minimum Qualifications section and associated links above.
  4. Training & Development (T&D) Assignment – State employees in a permanent appointment, and no longer on probation, may be considered for a T&D assignment.
