Role Overview

As a Principal Product Designer, you will:

• Lead 0-to-1 product design for new initiatives—taking ideas from concept through MVP.
• Partner directly with the CEO/founder and C-suite stakeholders.
• Translate user research and strategy into prototypes, mockups, and compelling product visions—all in Figma.
• Craft product narratives that drive alignment and innovation.
• Create systems and mental models that shape how users experience and understand the product.
• Prototype future-state experiences that explore what's possible—3 years down the line.
• Work cross-functionally within a small, high-trust "tripod” team (PM, Engineer, Designer).
• Integrate advanced AI functionality into product workflows and user experiences (well beyond chatbots).

What You'll Do

• Ideate new product features and experiences that address real customer pain points.
• Create prototypes that articulate strategic visions and future possibilities.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product to rapidly test and iterate.
• Work in ambiguity with a systems-thinking mindset, bringing clarity and momentum to fuzzy problem spaces.
• Present concepts and lead conversations with senior stakeholders, including the CEO and CTO.
• Help define how AI is meaningfully embedded into the product to enhance workflows and user outcomes.

Must-Have Experience

• 12 years of product design experience with a focus on digital software (SaaS).
• Proven experience taking 0-to-1 products from concept to launch.
• Extensive experience working directly with C-suite leaders and founders.
• Deep expertise in Figma—from design systems to high-fidelity prototyping.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AI tooling and integrating complex AI workflows into product experiences.
• Skilled in systems thinking and designing for long-term product evolution (1-3 years out).
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments.
• Strong communicator and storyteller who can translate abstract ideas into tangible designs.
