Sr. Cloud DevOps Engineer
Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Oakland-based office)
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder Required
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
Why This Role Exists
Fictiv is scaling fast — globally — and our cloud infrastructure has become mission-critical to everything we build and deliver. We’re looking for a senior-level Cloud DevOps engineer who wants real ownership: someone who enjoys designing resilient systems, improving reliability at scale, and making infrastructure boring (in the best way possible).
This is not a “keep-the-lights-on” DevOps role. You’ll be shaping how our cloud infrastructure evolves as the company grows across regions, products, and customers.
Location & Eligibility (Important)
- This role must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area (Oakland office).
- Due to U.S. regulatory requirements, only U.S. citizens or permanent residents (Green Card holders) can be considered.
- This requirement is mandatory and non-negotiable.
What You’ll Do
- Own and evolve AWS-based cloud infrastructure supporting production systems at scale
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure using CloudFormation and infrastructure-as-code best practices
- Improve reliability, availability, and observability across environments
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using AWS-native tools
- Support and optimize serverless architectures (Lambda) and containerized workloads
- Lead infrastructure upgrades with minimal downtime and strong rollback strategies
- Partner closely with software engineers, security, and platform teams
- Participate in shared on-call rotation and incident response
- Document systems and processes so knowledge scales with the team
- Contribute to and uphold Fictiv’s Quality Management System (QMS)
What We’re Looking For
You’re likely a strong fit if you have:
- 10+ years in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, or Systems Engineering roles
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS, CloudWatch, CodeBuild, etc.)
- Strong scripting experience with Python and shell
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines in production
- A solid understanding of cloud security best practices
- Comfort troubleshooting complex issues in live production environments
- Clear communication skills and a strong sense of ownership
Salary Range (Bay Area)
Base Salary: $165,000 – $200,000 USD , depending on experience and scope of responsibility.
Why Join Fictiv

If you’re looking for a senior role where expectations are clear, impact is visible, and ownership is real — we’d love to talk.
