Anduril Maritime delivers platforms, systems, and integrated effects in the maritime domain. Our autonomous vehicles (sub-surface and surface) are the cornerstone of these capabilities, and we continually strive to push the boundaries of the possible in terms of endurance, autonomy and mission capability. The Maritime team develops and maintains core products and payloads, and adapts and applies those products to serve a wide variety of defense, IC and commercial customers in US and international markets.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Frontend Software Engineer, Industrial UI role focuses on developing user-friendly front-end applications using React. The ideal candidate will have strong customer-focused skills, ensuring that the applications are intuitive and easy to use. This position involves translating design concepts into working, testable applications and taking the initiative to create smaller, simpler applications for internal tooling.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Develop Front-End Applications: Build responsive, user-friendly front-end applications using React and TypeScript.


• Translate Designs: Convert Figma designs and concepts into functional, testable code.


• Take Initiative: Independently develop various internal tools and simpler applications, understanding user needs and implementing efficient solutions.


• Backend Integration: Implement and maintain interactions with backend services, including any required database operations.


• GraphQL Development: Optionally, use GraphQL to optimize data fetching and communication between front-end and backend systems.


• Testing: Write and maintain integration and unit tests to ensure application reliability and performance.


• Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and efficient development.


• Maintain and Optimize Code: Ensure code quality, conduct code reviews, and optimize applications for performance and scalability.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in React and TypeScript for front-end development.


• Experience with translating Figma designs into functional code.


• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.


• Experience with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Express) and RESTful APIs.


• Solid understanding of front-end development best practices and design principles.


• Ability to write integration and unit tests.


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


• Customer-focused mindset with an emphasis on creating intuitive and easy-to-use products.


• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with GraphQL for data querying and manipulation.


• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.


• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

US Salary Range

$166,000 - $220,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
