Job Description:
Our client, a global leader in the technology industry based in San Diego, is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting Practices and Reporting group. This role plays a critical part in preparing SEC filings, managing complex accounting transactions, and providing guidance on acquisitions, dispositions, and new accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file quarterly, annual, and other financial reports with the SEC.

• Collaborate with business units and corporate functions to determine and document proper accounting treatment for complex transactions.

• Lead projects that support business units and corporate functions in accounting for acquisitions, dispositions, and implementing new accounting guidance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

• 2 years of experience in a Big Four accounting firm.

• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently.

• Experience in a large, matrixed organization and/or the tech industry is a plus.

• Proficiency with systems such as WDesk, Oracle, HFM, and Microsoft.

• Operates independently with minimal supervision.

• Influences key organizational decisions with high impact.

• Requires strong problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with XBRL tagging.

• Aptitude for accounting process optimization.

• Prior technical leadership or project management experience.
