Senior Software Engineer, Audio Team

As a Senior Software Engineer , you'll be working in our core game engine, contributing to the technical vision, and making improvements to our audio simulation platform & authoring tools. Challenges will include providing creators with sophisticated tools to let them easily generate custom and sometimes never-before-heard sound effects, and automatically synthesizing compelling realistic sound for a 3D world based on physics or the contents of the world. If you are excited about creating new technology to support these use cases and making sure it scales to millions of concurrent users, this is the job for you!

You Have:

• Experience: You have 5+ years of experience delivering projects that include complex user workflows. You are highly skilled at performance tuning, and debugging and fixing production problems.


• Domain Knowledge: You have some Android, iOS, and Windows experience. You love to pick up new technologies as the landscape evolves.


• Versatility: You can adapt to any situation when the need arises and come up with the right solution.


• A keen interest in developing audio expertise and knowledge, professional audio experience is not required.


• Creativity: You take a creative and strategic approach to solving hard problems. Bringing real-time interactivity to build an immersive 3D world should get you thinking about many problems to solve… and make you excited as a result.


• Professionalism: You take pride in delivering a high quality product and user experience.


• Skills:




• C++ programming


• Experience designing refining and tuning algorithms


• Troubleshooting bugs and performance issues


• Background: You have a BS in a STEM related field or equivalent experience.


• Bonus: Console programming experience (PlayStation, Xbox, etc.)


• Bonus: Familiarity with React or other declarative UI frameworks


• Bonus: Audio theory and algorithm experience


• Bonus: Systems-level Bluetooth experience


• Bonus: Experience working on a product that’s used at a massive scale (millions of DAUs)


• Bonus: Server experience or experience designing/interacting with server APIs


• Bonus: Experience with neighboring domains like Computer Graphics or Physics

• Develop new functionality, pipelines, and workflows, and enhance existing ones.


• Help implement our next generation real time immersive audio simulation platform.


• Adapt performance for the best quality on all platforms from low end phones to high end desktops.
