Engineering Project Manager
Purpose of the role
Lead capital investment activities for the factory, production equipment installation, construction works, building and utilities, power and automation. Personally manages CapEx (capital expenditure) projects, main focus is Upsilon 2. Plans and executes related budgets.
Support maintenance and technical services of all factory areas, buildings and utility equipment in accordance with safety and environmental requirements for the purpose of ensuring availability of all necessary resources for production and other equipment.
Responsibilities
CapEx Projects
- Ensures safe, effective and timely implementation of capital investment projects at factory (support Engineering Manager with Installations, conversions, filter making, B&U, power and automation equipment). Manages global suppliers: Koerber, Focke, GD, IMA, Adeba and others.
- Performs control of contractors during insatllation/construction stage.
- Cooperates with JTI international functions: global engineering, global EHS, global procurement, new product development, R&D product development, R&D technical services.
- Cooperate with responsible functions and provides managerial support to engineering department: Procurement, Financial, P&C, EHS, Quality, Production, MS departments and ect.
- Prepares budget justifications together with project customers, makes ROI calculations and designs BAP templates for further top management budget approval.
KPI's Responsibility
- Responsible for planning of CapEx budget for engineering department: monthly, yearly budget preparation (EAM).Collects all internal and external requirements for CapEx implementation and makes planning and justification of incoming requests.
- Reporting the budget to engineering depratment manager. Participates in APS proccess. Consolidates all CapEx activities from other departments.
Create purchase orders in SAP for CapEx and control payments for suppliers.
Production Process Responsibility
- Support all facility maintenance corrective and preventative activities: ensuring that all building and utilities equipment (including Electrical systems, lightning, grounding, HVAC, fans, AC units, air compressors, boilers, pumps, filters, heat exchangers and etc.) and engineering systems meet present and future needs in terms of efficiency, machine utilization, capacity utilization.
- Ensure reliable electrical supply, provide production and transportation of necessary energy resources: compressed air, gas, conditioned air for production, warehouses and administration areas.
- Ensure full compliance with local legislation, company policies and ISO requirements and procedures.
Talent Managament Responsibility
- Performs management of direct reports: tasking, training needs, job description preparation, motivation and control.
- Ensures availability of licenses and certificates required by local legislation for direct reports for safe operation on hazardous equipment.
IWS
- Develop the operating teams’ technical understanding and capability.
- Support IWS implementation, development and sustainability.
- Suport of the following DMS (Daily Management Systems): CO (Change management), Energy DMS, DH (defect Handling), BDE (Breakdown elimination) and Loss tree preparation.
- Attend DDS (Daily Direction Setting) Meetings and support IWS DDS structure.
- Particpate in LE pillar/assgined SWP and doing all action required from the PDCA's.
Financial Responsibility
- Perfom necessary actions to establish asset management: EAM, put in use schedule, write off.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field.
- 5+ year in managerial position, with experience of maintenance management in industrial factories, good knowledge and experience on machinery, building and utilities standards, EHS.
- Fluency in English (Oral and written).
Key Skills & Competencies
Good basic understanding of the core busines.
Good leadership skills, Self-Motivated, Ability to work in a team environment.
Above average communication skills (verbally and written).
Proficient Computer skills (word, excel, AutoCad and power point).
Ability to manage multiple task at once, open minded, willingness to listen and learn.
Above average Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Skill.
