This is the Invention Age - and this is where you come in.\n\nGeneral Summary:\n\nAs a SoC RAS and Manageability Controller FW Developer, you are responsible for working with a team on the enablement of the SoC and Platform management solution for Qualcomm\u0027s upcoming products. You will collaborate internally to help define and implement embedded firmware to manage the error, debug and telemetry management features for the Qualcomm SoCs across many verticals. You will also participate in various other aspects of the management controller firmware development, including power management, boot, RAS, debug, security and runtime services.\n\nIn SoC Management Controller FW developer role you will be working closely both with the hardware and firmware development teams. You will have an opportunity to engage with third parties on enablement of new platforms, as well as providing input to our SoC and platform architects on future designs.\n\nRole and Responsibilities:\n\n\u00b7 Drive the complete firmware development lifecycle through design, development, debug and verification, in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.\n\n\u00b7 Develop core firmware stack, utilizing and RTOS, that provides the essential services and frameworks to various algorithms running on the power management controller.\n\n\u00b7 Assist in defining Reliability, Availability and Serviceability solutions for future generation of Qualcomm CPUs.\n\n\u00b7 Actively engage with open-source communities to contribute support for processor architectures, device drivers, and firmware features\n\n\u00b7 Collaborate with team members and other teams on silicon and platform bring-up, debug and diagnostics.\n\n\u00b7 Assist in identifying skills requirements and in hiring engineers,\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n\u00b7 BS/BEng in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (or equivalent professional experience) with 8 years\u0027 experience in embedded firmware development\n\n\u00b7 Familiarity with Error reporting and manageability requirements on a datacenter server platform.\n\n\u00b7 Familiarity with ARM RAS specification, ARM CPU RAS extensions, and Software components (SDEI, APEI, UEFI CPER) specifications is preferred.\n\n\u00b7 Self-starter who takes initiative and brings technical leadership\n\n\u00b7 Proficient writing and debugging C and assembly\n\n\u00b7 Driver development experience in RTOS or OS Kernel environments\n\n\u00b7 Demonstrated development experience with embedded OSes such as Zephyr, eCos, uC/OS or FreeRTOS\n\n\u00b7 Experience developing and debugging in pre-silicon environments including simulators and FPGA emulation\n\nExperience defining interprocessor communication interfaces between embedded controllers and the platform\n\n\u00b7 Familiarity with ARM v8 architecture. Development experience for a ARMV8 platform is a plus.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\n\u00b7 Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to \u00bd mile.\n\n\u00b7 Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.\n\n\u00b7 Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).\n\n\u00b7 Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.\n\n\u00b7 Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
