Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering Architect in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties : Work within Heroku and Salesforce to educate other teams about the architecture and use of Heroku and the internal tools. Conduct sessions to onboard new engineers, educate in the ins-and-outs of working on Heroku, and particularly on what internal tools are available. Engage with teams across Salesforce to discuss progress of current efforts, assess requirements for innovative solutions, and help other engineers develop solutions to problems, guide through the architectural documentation processes. Design and document technical solutions to problems, and/or reviews the documents produced by others. Participate in (and help to guide) the review processes. Work on solutions arrived at by the processes, including solutions for logging and metrics-gathering across Heroku, security best-practices, and deployment automation. Involve in further efforts to create internal tools for enforcing security best-practices, as well as refining the solutions that exist for logging and metrics-gathering. Leverage the knowledge to mentor other engineers in developing their abilities, and directly provides feedback regarding promotions to senior management and executives. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements : Master's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field OR Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements : (1) Agile Development practices (2 years); (2) Object-Oriented Design; (3) Ruby (2 years); (4) Golang (2 years); (5) Unix administration (2 years); (6) Heroku Platform (2 years); and (7) Experience in architectural documentation processes (2 years). Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required .

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $224,100 to $372,900.
