Marketing Coordinator

We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Valley Center, CA, supporting a Communications department within the government and public sector.

The role will support internal and external communications, social media content, event coordination, print and digital materials, and administrative processes. Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, edit, proofread, and format internal and external communications, including newsletters, announcements, flyers, reports, articles, and social media content.
- Support social media content creation, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Assist with graphic design and layout projects using Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, for print, digital, web, and social media materials.
- Coordinate communications-related projects, events, ceremonies, and programs, including logistics, registration, on-site support, timelines, and follow-up.
- Maintain organized communications files, databases, archives, project tracking systems, and documentation in alignment with internal policies.
- Process procurement requests, invoices, vendor documentation, business credit card purchases, and account coding through Sage Intacct.

Compensation and Benefits

- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Pay Rate: $28.84 to $33.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Location: Valley Center, CA.

Additional Skills

Qualifications

- Professional experience in administrative support, communications, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma, G.E.D., CHSPE certificate, or equivalent from a U.S. institution required.
- Experience creating, formatting, and preparing files for print and digital distribution.

Preferred Qualifications

- AP-style writing experience or strong familiarity with professional editorial standards.
- Experience writing newsletters, articles, social media content, press materials, and internal communications.
- Experience with email marketing platforms, newsletter distribution tools, and digital communications campaigns.
- Familiarity with WordPress website content management.
- Knowledge of social media analytics and performance reporting.
- Experience using Sage Intacct for requisitions, accounts payable invoices, procurement, vendor documentation, and expense tracking.
- Basic graphic design, multimedia, and digital asset preparation experience for web, print, and social media platforms.-
- Prepare and coordinate newsletters, announcements, flyers, reports, press materials, social media posts, and internal communications.

- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with emphasis on InDesign for layouts and print or digital publications.
- Support social media scheduling, monitoring, reporting, and digital content distribution.
