Senior Manager Club Operations & Member Experiences (Proprietor) - Cotino®, A Storyliving by Disney™
Job Summary:
The Proprietor of Cotino® Artisan Club Operations is responsible for creating outstanding member experiences by leading a unified operations team. This position manages daily activities, offers immediate decision-making support, upholds Disney standards for safety, courtesy, presentation, efficiency, and inclusion, and fosters strong connections with internal teams, Operating Participants, and third-party service providers.
In addition, the Proprietor develops and implements operational strategies, oversees labor and budget expenses, assists with long-term planning, and ensures that property activities are well coordinated. During incidents, this role takes charge as the main leader, directing responses and communication among internal and external groups. Regular duties include visible leadership, coaching, mentoring, and guaranteeing alignment between contracts and operations with Operating Participants and vendors.
You will report to the General Manager of Cotino®, A Storyliving by Disney™ community in Rancho Mirage, CA.

Responsibilities/You Will:

Foster a positive, people‑first environment that drives Cast engagement, collaboration, and pride in ownership
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the full Member experience, overseeing integrated teams across Lifestyle programming, Food & Beverage (front and back of house), Wellness, Aquatics, Recreation, and Concierge‑style Member Services, Communications, and Service Recovery
Lead all club amenities, including the Artisan Club, Parr House, and all Club beach areas, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery
Translate business and operational strategies into clear goals and executable action plans; lead through change by navigating ambiguity, removing barriers, and aligning teams to evolving priorities
Lead, coach, and develop salaried leaders and Cast Members through consistent feedback, mentoring, and performance management, while maintaining a visible, hands‑on leadership presence
Apply leadership frameworks and business acumen to daily operations; analyze performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities that improve efficiency, Member satisfaction, and financial results
Serve as the single point of operational leadership for the site—coordinating communication across teams, making real‑time decisions, and escalating key risks or impacts to senior leadership as needed
Build and sustain strong relationships with Disney leaders, Cast Members, Operating Participants, and vendor partners through regular touchpoints, show walks, business reviews, and roundtables; ensure all partners meet Disney standards and expectations
Partner closely with the Cotino® Sales team to support sales events, experiences, and activities that enhance the Member journey
Oversee labor and expense budgets, ensuring responsible resource management; contribute to annual operating plans, five‑year plans, IFP processes, and capital planning efforts
Act as Scene Leader during major Guest or Cast incidents, ensuring effective emergency response, communication, and reporting; lead evacuation readiness, drills, and serve as primary liaison with local law enforcement, fire, and rescue partners
Protect and steward the Disney brand by understanding media and public‑relations sensitivities and considering the broader impact of operational decisions
Provide leadership coverage across all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operation
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of leadership experience in food & beverage, operations, hospitality, retail, or other large‑scale Guest‑facing environments
Proven ability to engage with high‑influence and high‑profile residents and Guests while exercising discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality
Demonstrated success building trusted partnerships across diverse teams, levels, and functions
Experience leading complex operations with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and service partners operating under contractual agreements
Strong project planning and execution skills, with a people‑first approach to process design and service delivery
Sound judgment and creative problem‑solving skills, with the ability to anticipate impacts and serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and partners
Strong financial acumen, including the ability to analyze results, identify trends, and uncover opportunities to drive revenue and profitability
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse audiences
Ability to manage competing priorities and make confident decisions in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
Experience with incident command, emergency response protocols, reporting requirements, and public relations sensitivity
Proficiency with Windows‑based systems and operational technologies
Ability to translate strategy and vision into clear, executable operational processes
Flexibility to support the operation across varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
Prior Disney leadership experience, with an understanding of Disney culture, standards, and operating rhythms
Experience in Park Operations or Resort/Commercial Operations environments
Experience partnering with external organizations, vendors, and service providers to deliver seamless operations
Sommelier certification or advanced wine knowledge
Familiarity with Clubessential or similar club management systems
Demonstrated experience leading through change, balancing competing priorities, and handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion
Bilingual skills
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality preferred

The hiring range for this position in Palm Desert, CA is $120,800 - $161,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Recommended Jobs
