Responsibilities
- Serve as the Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) in the operating room, supporting surgeons during procedures.
- Assist with exposure, retraction, dissection, hemostasis, and suction as needed for orthopedic, gynecologic, general, and orthopedic totals procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique, prepare and manage surgical instruments, counts, and specimen handling.
- Position patients and collaborate with the anesthesia and surgical teams to optimize patient safety and outcomes.
- Ensure availability and readiness of equipment and supplies; document intraoperative findings and assist with post-operative care as directed.
- Participate in the on-call schedule: one night of call per week and one weekend per month.

Requirements
- Active California RN license
- RN First Assist (RNFA) certification
- OR experience as RNFA with orthopedic, ortho totals, gynecology, and general surgery
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment and follow accurate sterile technique
- Availability for on-call commitments (one night per week and one weekend per month)
