Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager, this role will own assigned operational accounting areas and be a key contributor to the monthly and quarterly close, ensuring accurate and timely financial information to support FP&A and business decision‑making.

This position will have hands‑on responsibility for key accounting areas, including capitalized commissions, payroll accounting, and accounting for subsidiaries related to M&A activity. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with internal teams and external providers to support process improvements, automation, and consistency across the accounting function in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

If you’re based within a pre‑determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in‑office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If you're located beyond that distance, the role is fully remote. For location‑specific details, please connect with our recruiting team.

What You Will Do:

  • Own key operational accounting areas, including capitalized commissions, payroll accounting and accounting for subsidiaries.
  • Prepare financial reporting packages and presentations for senior leadership, including detailed fluctuation and trend analyses.
  • Support the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of assigned areas.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Partner with FP&A to align accounting results, ensuring consistency between actuals, forecasts, and business drivers.
  • Lead or support process improvement and automation initiatives to streamline month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, improve internal controls, and enhance end‑to‑end operational effectiveness.
  • Build and use AI agents to automate daily activities.
  • Support M&A activities as they arise, including onboarding new entities.
  • Assist with audit and review processes by preparing documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and supporting testing efforts.
  • Support other special projects as they arise.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting and/or high‑growth private company experience.
  • Understanding of US GAAP. Prior experience in payroll accounting and/or capitalized commissions is a plus.
  • Hands‑on, detail‑oriented accountant with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Process‑oriented and curious, with an interest in leveraging AI, automation, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally to align accounting processes with business operations and reporting needs.
  • Strong communicator, able to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional partners and explain accounting concepts clearly.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced and evolving environment.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package, including equity.
  • Inclusive Healthcare Package.
  • Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
  • Flexible Time Off.
  • We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
