TikTok Design Team is to provide first-class user experience for hundreds of millions of users around the world, thereby helping them create and express better, discover the diversity and beauty of the world, break down more barriers, and build bridges between people. We are an international design team with Product Designer, Creative Designer, Visual Designer, Content Designer and Localization Expert from all over the world working together to make every impossible possible.

Responsibilities

• Design TikTok’s AI products and tools from concept to launch.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to build a trustworthy, user‑centric AI experience.
• Understand business goals and user needs; drive C‑side design from logic mapping to final implementation.
• Stay current with AI interaction trends and help define design standards for AI products.
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor) in daily workflows to boost efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Individuals who are completing or have recently completed a Bachelor's, Master's degree in HCI, AI, Computer Science, Design, Psychology, or a related discipline.
• Strong interaction and UI skills; proficient in Figma and familiar with iOS/Android design guidelines.
• Frequent user of AI products with a clear understanding of AI capabilities and interaction paradigms.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, and learning‑oriented.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for AI product design, curiosity, and a global perspective.

Preferred Qualifications

• AI product design internship or portfolio/case study.
• Skills in visual, motion, or user research design.
• C‑side product design experience and familiarity with component‑based systems.

Job Information

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $76000 - $151200 annually.

​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

​

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
