Role : Automation Architect

Location: Toronto

Role Description:
Define and implement robust test automation strategies, frameworks, and tools.
Lead the development of end-to-end test automation solutions using Java and JavaScript.
Architect automation frameworks for UI, API, performance, and integration testing.
Utilize Node.js and TypeScript to build modern test frameworks and tools.
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
Develop reusable test components and libraries for the QA team.
Create and maintain automation utilities/scripts using Shell scripting for test orchestration and system-level automation.
Conduct PoCs and evaluate new tools/technologies to improve automation coverage and efficiency.
Mentor QA engineers and developers in automation best practices.
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and QA strategy planning.


Essential Skills:
8+ years of experience in test automation and software quality assurance.
Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript for automation development.
Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript for framework development.
Deep understanding of test frameworks such as Selenium, WebDriverIO, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
Proficient in Shell scripting (Bash/Zsh) for automation tasks and system scripting.
Strong knowledge of RESTful API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or custom frameworks.
Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions).
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Proven experience mentoring teams and leading automation initiatives.
Experience with performance and load testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, or k6.Knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Jasmine.
Understanding of security testing and static code analysis tools
