The Role

We are seeking a Product Manager – Mineral Processing to lead Mariana’s software-first approach to mineral processing across copper, nickel, and lithium .

In this role, you’ll be accountable for outcomes, not just features —identifying opportunities to optimize performance across the full technology stack, from sensors to ML-driven process control. Success will require blending user research, processing experience, and first-principles problem solving to engineer out inefficiencies, surface insights, and empower smarter decision-making.

You’ll work cross-functionally with engineers, metallurgists, machine learning experts, and operators to ensure we’re always prioritizing around value creation .

What You’ll Do

• Own the product vision for software-enabled mineral processing solutions across copper, nickel, and lithium projects.

• Identify optimization opportunities spanning sensors, automation, and ML-driven process control.

• Conduct user research with operators, metallurgists, and engineers to design impactful solutions.

• Partner with stakeholders to surface process data in formats that drive better, faster decisions.

• Engineer out non-value-added work by simplifying and automating workflows.

• Prioritize initiatives across multiple stakeholders based on measurable value.

Must Have

• Engineering background ( hydrometallurgy or process engineering preferred ).

• Strong first-principles problem solving ability.

• Demonstrated user research experience .

• 5+ years of relevant experience in product management, engineering, or related technical roles.

Nice to Have

• Mineral processing experience (especially copper, nickel, or lithium—fast track consideration).

• Track record of working with machine learning engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and data engineers .
