Description

As a Marketing Assistant at //TECHYSCOUTS, you'll work across content, email, social media, and outreach — helping us grow our brand, generate leads, and support the marketing efforts behind our expanding portfolio of clients and proprietary tools.

This is not a "post and ghost" social media role. You'll be making real contributions to campaigns, creating video content, building email sequences, and keeping our marketing engine running — while developing a deep understanding of our clients' industries and what actually moves the needle for them.

As we continue to scale our marketing efforts and expand our reach into new verticals, we're looking for a Marketing Assistant who has strong content instincts, hands-on email and social experience with specialization in short-form video creation and editing, and a genuine passion for creating content that converts.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Content & Email Marketing

• Develop and execute email marketing campaigns including newsletters, drip sequences, and cold outreach
• Write compelling copy for blog posts, landing pages, and marketing collateral across our target verticals
• Assist in building and maintaining content calendars aligned to business goals and seasonal timing
• Support Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and SEO best practices in written content

Video & Social Media

• Create and manage organic social media content across platforms — short-form video is an important part of this role
• Shoot, edit, and produce reels and outreach video clips using modern editing tools (AI-assisted tools a plus)
• Help grow and manage //TECHYSCOUTS' organic social presence with engaging, on-brand content
• Attend local LA networking events and activations to capture content and represent the brand

Tools & Operations

• Manage outreach campaigns using Instantly/Hubspot and coordinate follow-up workflows
• Update and maintain CRM records, contact lists, and campaign reporting in HubSpot
• Make website content updates using CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, or similar)
• Collaborate with the team daily via Slack and keep projects moving efficiently

Requirements

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a marketing, content, or communications role
• Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms and campaign execution
• Comfortable creating and editing short-form video content (Reels, TikTok-style, outreach video)
• Active, engaged social media presence — we'll want to see your work
• Strong writing skills with an eye for clear, conversion-focused messaging
• Familiarity with HubSpot, Slack, Canva or Figma, and website CMS platforms
• Self-starter mindset — we're a lean, remote-first team and we value people who take initiative
• Based in or near Los Angeles

Strong Pluses

• Experience with email outreach tools like Instantly, Hubspot, or similar
• Familiarity with AI content and specifically video creation tools
• Background in creative agency, healthcare, beauty, or e-commerce marketing
• Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and Google Business Profile optimization
• Experience supporting or attending live events and networking activations
