JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for all operational and fulfillment functions for the Manufacturing site. The scope of this role will include, but is not limited to: operations, demand planning, vendor management, supply chain, assembly, fulfillment, and facilities. This role will develop and lead the operational team and infrastructure, which will support and scale organic and accretive growth for Henry Schein. As part of the senior leadership team at Henry Schein, this role will participate in the strategic planning and budgeting process.

Additionally, the position Oversees partnership portfolio within the SBU business companies to increase manufacturing efficiencies and synergies within their operations and across the portfolio. Engages with senior level owners and partners of SBU businesses, supplier partnerships or any 3rd party suppliers, including Pharma raw material suppliers, to understand business objectives, design solutions, and become the escalation point for quality, service levels and relationship management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for directing and coordinating the daily operations at manufacturing sites including talent development, safety, planning, scheduling, manufacturing, engineering, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Define and implement key metrics to measure operational performance in terms of safety, product quality, service level, cost management and new product introduction.
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence that will positively impact safety, quality and service improvements while reducing cost through various CI techniques including Lean.
  • Ensure adherence to quality, regulatory and compliance throughout operations and at suppliers and participate in all regulatory audits as required by government agencies and notified bodies.
  • Participate in development and execution of the site strategy in alignment with overall Global manufacturing strategy to support specific business unit growth and supply chain strategy.
  • Participate in development of annual operations budget including CAPEX.
  • Build the organizational capabilities and the talent to support business requirements.
  • Support new product development activities including demand planning and product launches in support of the commercial business.
  • Ensures that inventory controls are in place and functioning effectively by monitoring cycle counting results and adjustments.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
  • Interface with SBU leadership team where applicable on Supply Chain, Regulatory, outside suppliers/vendors and especially the partners/owners regarding all facets of project control, management, and reporting on key standardization and integration projects.
  • Executes on manufacturing and product-related due diligence activities relating to M&A opportunities, including site visits, SWOT analysis, operational reviews.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • 10+ years of experience in Operations Management in Warehousing, Logistics, Distribution, Manufacturing or Supply Chain related functions
  • Proven leadership and management skills in a high growth and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated performance in exceeding corporate outlined financial goals
  • Long term experience with KPI reporting development and possess a continuous improvement mentality
  • Demonstrated ability to improve operational processes in a continuous improvement culture
  • Proven ability to lead and drive change in a dynamic business environment
  • Strong history of financial and customer service success
  • Record of successfully introducing and implementing strategic initiatives in a logistics/supply chain environment preferred
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience required
  • Proficient in MS office suite of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 5 or more years of management experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $112,003 to $175,005 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
