Over the road Class A driver
Hemlock Logistics is seeking an experienced Over the Road (OTR) Class A Driver to join our dedicated team in the Transportation sector. In this role, you will drive long distances to transport goods across various routes while ensuring the safety and security of your cargo. As a vital part of our operations, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding service to our clients and maintaining the reputation of Hemlock Logistics. Responsibilities
- Transport goods over long distances safely and efficiently
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, routes, and deliveries
- Adhere to federal and state regulations regarding weight limits, driving hours, and safety protocols
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, and cargo issues
- Ensure that cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety and transportation
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum of 2 years of over-the-road driving experience preferred
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
- Willingness to be away from home for extended periods
