General Manager (San Diego)

Role SummaryThe General Manager at The Coastal Project is responsible for driving business growth, overseeing company performance, and ensuring operational excellence across all departments. This in-office leadership role is focused on strategic execution, process optimization, team accountability, and profitability, without serving as a primary contact for property owners.
Key ResponsibilitiesGrowth & Revenue
- Develop and execute strategies to increase units under management and drive revenue growth.
- Oversee marketing, lead generation, and conversion initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate acquisition and partnership opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to maintain competitive positioning and maximize profitability.
Company Performance & Operations
- Establish, track, and enforce KPIs for all teams in alignment with company objectives.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L management.
- Implement operational efficiencies to improve service quality and reduce costs.
- Ensure all major initiatives and projects are completed on time and within budget.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and hold department heads accountable for performance.
- Maintain a high-performance culture through clear goals and consistent follow-up.
- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure seamless workflows and strong internal communication.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Partner with the Owner to develop and execute annual growth and performance plans.
- Use business data and KPIs to identify opportunities for expansion and operational improvements.
- Conduct quarterly reviews to track performance against growth and profitability targets.
- 5+ years in senior management within property management, hospitality, or a related service industry.
- Proven track record of business growth, revenue generation, and operational leadership.
- Strong financial acumen with full P&L accountability.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Data-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable in a high-accountability environment.
- Must work in-office Monday through Friday.

- Base Salary: $75,000 annually
