Intern, Resource Planning & Process Optimization
- Assist in building and implementing a Resource and Portfolio Management System, including data collection, analysis, and documentation.
- Collaborate with the extended TDS leadership team to streamline resource allocation and portfolio tracking processes.
- Contribute to equipment utilization projects, including data analysis and reporting to optimize lab operations.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and dashboards to communicate progress and insights to stakeholders.
- Optional: Participate in engagement opportunities related to the TDS FUN Committee and GREEN Employee Resource Group, if interested.
- Strong analytical skills for data collection, interpretation, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presentations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Interest in Engagement & Sustainability: Enthusiasm for participating in employee engagement activities and GREEN initiatives (optional but valued).
- Familiarity with resource and portfolio management tools, such as Planview, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or Monday.com, etc.)
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Basic understanding of resource planning, portfolio management, or project coordination.
- Experience with equipment utilization analysis or business process optimization.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- A 3rd or 4th year Undergraduate student or Master’s candidate pursuing a degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Demonstrated interest in business operations, strategic planning, and process improvement.
- Must be available to work full time, 40 hours a week.
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall term after the completion of the internship OR have graduated within 1 year of the start of the program.
- Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship for on-site, hybrid roles.
