Facilities Attendant

As a Facilities Attendant, you'll be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and security of our facilities, as well as supporting MCHC's initiatives for energy conservation, infection control, and overall safety. You'll be a key player in keeping our center running smoothly, and we're excited to welcome someone who can bring creativity and enthusiasm to the role.
Some of your day-to-day duties will include performing general maintenance on our HVAC and other systems, providing support for all departments, and maintaining the cleanliness of our facility. You'll also help with off-site event support and office moves, and act as a liaison with vendors.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) years' experience in a healthcare facility or related experience
- Possess a valid California Driver's License and be insurable to drive MCHC vehicles
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Two or more years' experience in a healthcare facility or related experience
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday: 65% of time standing, 25% of time walking, and 10% of time sitting.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, sit, balance, smell and grasp. Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, twist and turn.
- The employee uses hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and push up to 300 pounds (on wheels).
- Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must have vision that is adequate to read memos, a computer screen, and other clinic documents.
- Employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
- Must have high manual dexterity. Frequent repetitive hand and wrist motions. Work may include limited operation of computer keyboard.
