About the role:

We recently launched Replit Agent in early access, the first widely accessible coding AI agent that builds and deploys apps based on your ideas. In this new era of personal software, the Replit mobile app enables you to create, prototype, brainstorm personal tools on the go.

We’re seeking an experienced, generalist-minded mobile engineer to join our small but mighty team to accelerate the personal software era to billions of people. In this role, you will shape our Agent experience on mobile, build innovative new features and interactions, and enable anyone with a phone to create software for their phones. Our mobile app is built with Typescript, React, React Native, Expo, and Apollo/GraphQL.

You will:

• Collaborate closely with a team of designers, mobile and UX engineers to streamline the mobile app towards AI-first creation.

• Introduce new features that make creation on mobile easier and faster.

• Improve the quality and observability of the app.

• Proactively identify what our software creators need to make building on mobile delightful.

Required skills and experience:

• You can demonstrate 5+ years of professional software development experience, including:

  • Experience optimizing UI rendering performance

  • Experience debugging and deploying iOS or Android apps

• You are comfortable building with React/CSS and React Native.

• You are familiar with UI patterns on iOS or Android

The overall market range of base compensation for roles in this area of Replit is typically $130K - $265K. Compensation offered will be determined by additional factors such as location and experience.

This is a full-time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office. The hybrid role has an in-office requirement of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
