What you’ll do:
The Prep Cook position will be responsible for the following:
- Arrive and leave on time, and clock in/out accordingly
- Dress appropriately every day for work following the Cookbook dress code stated in the employee handbook.
- Take your full half hour break every shift, and clock in/out accordingly.
- Prep and execute stations according to Chef’s/Management direction.
- Be aware of inventory of both raw product and prepped items.
- Communicate clearly with Chef/Management about ordering, running low on items, 86’s.
- Properly label all mise en place with date and item name.
- Be able to accurately follow and execute recipes.
- Cross trained in all stations including the food preparation department and help where needed.
- Be aware of fellow cooks’ stations, and help out when possible.
- Upkeeping and understanding high standards for food quality control to uphold Food Safety Standards
- Good communication with managers on daily needs
- Upkeeping Sanitation and Cleaning standards following procedures and using proper checklists
- Assisting with stocking the pantry shelves and refrigerators.
- Running food as needed, assisting in pre-bussing tables, sweeping floors, helping teammates, being present and aware in order to assist with any spills or special requests.
- Respecting the facility - picking up trash, cleaning up after yourself, taking the initiative to clean, finishing your sidework, letting managers know if anything is in disrepair.
- Working with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment and work in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain positive, team-oriented, respectful mentality.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Maintain an up to date California food handlers card certification and anti-harassment certification.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
