About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Backend Software Engineer to play a critical role in scaling ManageCasa’s platform and advancing our enhanced features . This role will have a direct, measurable impact on customer experience, system reliability, and operational efficiency .

You will work closely with the CTO and other engineers, developing the backend systems that power our core product, integrations, and emerging AI functionality.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and core platform features
• Collaborate closely with the team to design, implement, and test internal and external APIs
• Develop and support backend systems that enable workflows, automation, and insights
• Diagnose and resolve production issues to improve performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction
• Contribute to experimentation, measurement, and continuous improvement in a lean startup environment

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience at a web-based technology company (startup experience preferred)
• Expert-level proficiency in Python , preferably using Django
• Familiarity with AI/ML integrations , such as:
  • Working with AI APIs (LLMs, automation services, or data-driven systems)
  • Supporting AI features through backend pipelines, data processing, or orchestration
• 1–2 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and experimentation or A/B testing
• Strong knowledge of modern data stores and infrastructure, including:
  • Aurora / MySQL
  • ElasticSearch or OpenSearch
  • Redis or similar caching layers
• Strong project ownership, task prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills
