IBIAS is building an AI-powered business intelligence platform designed to help organizations make smarter, faster, and data-driven decisions. We’re assembling a cross-functional global team of interns and developers to build and refine the AI systems that power insights, predictions, and automation within our platform.

This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to apply machine learning , data science , and AI model development skills in a practical, collaborative startup environment.

Position Overview

As an AI/ML Engineer Intern , you’ll work on designing, training, and deploying intelligent models that power analytics, automation, and business intelligence features across the IBIAS ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with our data and backend teams to transform data into actionable intelligence and integrate AI models into live systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and train machine learning models for predictive analytics and data insights
• Work with structured and unstructured datasets , cleaning and preparing them for modeling
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate AI models into production via APIs
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering
• Evaluate model performance using relevant metrics (accuracy, F1-score, precision, recall, etc.)
• Research and implement state-of-the-art AI techniques and optimization methods
• Document experiments, results, and model iterations
• Contribute to the development of IBIAS’s AI-driven recommendation and insights engine

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science , Data Science , Artificial Intelligence , Statistics , or related field
• Proficiency in Python and popular ML libraries such as TensorFlow , PyTorch , or scikit-learn
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms (classification, regression, clustering, NLP, etc.)
• Familiarity with data preprocessing , feature engineering , and model evaluation
• Experience working with Pandas , NumPy , and Matplotlib/Seaborn for data handling and visualization
• Basic understanding of APIs and backend integration concepts
• Strong problem-solving mindset and enthusiasm for applied AI

Preferred (Bonus) Skills

• Experience with LLMs or Generative AI models (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.)
• Knowledge of MLOps , model deployment , or Supabase/Edge Function integrations
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS)
• Experience with data pipelines and cloud AI services (AWS Sagemaker, Vertex AI, etc.)
• Interest or background in business analytics , forecasting , or recommendation systems
