Job Description
Summary
The Director of Housekeeping oversees all aspects of housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and efficiency across hotel properties. They lead and develop housekeeping teams, manage budgets and inventory, and implement quality control measures to maintain brand standards. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to create a seamless and welcoming guest experience. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
• Establish a cleaning program maintaining quality standards in training, performance, procedures and productivity pertaining to all public areas, residences and hotel rooms
• Inspect daily all areas of responsibility, maintaining the highest quality standards. This includes the public areas, sidewalks surrounding the front of the building, corridors, residences and hotel rooms
• Set and maintain schedules for general cleaning program
• Work with outside vendors who are contracted for specific tasks
• Ensure completion of inventories and extensions of linens as required
• Implement methods to maintain quality assurance and that are conducive to effective cost controls on labor and supplies
• Prepare annual recommendations for capital improvements and for operating budgets in areas covered by scope of responsibility
• Prepare and present annual employee evaluations
• Hold monthly meetings for entire staff to review and discuss special projects, ideas, and operations problems and staff performance
• Maintain accurate ledgers and records on all housekeeping operations
• Develop and maintain a consistent room inspection program to ensure zero defects in all residences and hotel rooms
• Supervise administration of Lost and Found, the uniform program and laundry operation to achieve maximum productivity, maintain quality standards and keep within prescribed costs

Qualifications
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Two years previous experience in housekeeping required
• One year in a supervisory experience required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Proficient laundry experience
• Knowledge of OSHA training on all safety hazards
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiar with fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management
• Staff, schedule, hire, discipline and train the housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Comply with all policies and procedures for the Housekeeping Department, The Residences at The Little Nell, and Aspen Skiing Company
• Ability to work with all departments to meet their needs as they relate to Housekeeping
• Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demands
• Ability to lead, develop and manage people, driving performance, engagement, and professional growth
• Ability to report for work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as well as being responsible for the grooming of on-shift employees as outlined in the employee handbook and further developed in the departmental rules
• Ability to handle guest’s comments and complaints in a professional manner

Additional Information
Work Environment & Physical Demands
• Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
• Regularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
