Senior Civil Engineer - Land Development

Key Responsibilities

In this influential role, you will assume responsibility for the full lifecycle of complex land development and public infrastructure projects. You will oversee conceptual planning, feasibility analyses, detailed engineering design, entitlement and permitting activities, bid package preparation, construction oversight, and project closeout. Your leadership will be central in directing multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with public agencies and municipal departments, engaging with private developers and community stakeholders, and ensuring all work meets regulatory requirements, design standards, environmental criteria, and performance benchmarks. You will also play a strategic role in project budgeting, scheduling, contract negotiations, and quality assurance while anticipating potential challenges and implementing solutions that safeguard project success.

Candidate Profile

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred), hold an active California Professional Engineer (PE) license, and bring 10+ years of progressive experience leading large-scale land development and municipal infrastructure projects.

You must demonstrate superior leadership capabilities, proven experience managing multidisciplinary project teams, and exceptional communication and client-facing skills.

Candidates who have delivered high-impact, multi-phased developments particularly within urban, environmentally sensitive, or community-focused environments will be given strong consideration.
