Roseleaf Oroville is looking to hire a COOK. Do you enjoy the satisfaction of providing healthy meals to seniors? Do you enjoy keeping a clean kitchen, being part of a team, working hard while having fun?
Duties include:
- Knowledge of the basic concepts of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
- Ability to prepare large quantities of food while preserving flavor, nutritional components, and attractiveness. Prepare foods according to the menu, in the proper quantity, and maintain the meal schedule. Document menu changes when substitutions of food served are made. Serve meals of the proper texture and portion size in an attractive manner and at the appropriate temperature.
- Supervise dietary staff’s preparation and serving of food and beverages, completion of assigned cleaning schedules, and temperature logs. Clean stove, appliances and preparation areas after use. Follow approved procedures to perform assigned daily and special cleaning tasks.
- Report any foods and supplies that are needed. Follow proper procedure on secure storage of foods and supplies as needed.
- All candidates must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Pass employment health/drug screen and a DSS-required criminal background clearance by FBI and DOJ.
- Position is required to bend, lift, stoop, and work in extreme heat conditions.
- RCFE experience preferred.
