What You'll Do:: The IT Service Specialist delivers a high level of customer service and satisfaction to the campus staff and students, ensures the availability of the systems they rely on, and improves the processes in which IT delivers service.
  • Receives and resolves issues submitted through ticketing system with focus on timeliness and customer service.
  • Manages all on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, and tests tasks.
  • Diagnoses errors or technical problems affecting campus staff and students and determining proper solutions.
  • Procures new equipment and furniture to support campus initiatives and growth.
  • Works with IT team to develop, document, and adopt new standards supporting IT Processes.
  • Supports the successful onboarding of new employees by setting up and testing equipment and system access.
  • Completes thorough off-boarding for employees and students, including equipment and system access.
  • Through on-boarding, off-boarding, and regular audits maintains up-to-date key card access and distribution lists.
  • Provides administration and support for all applications and infrastructure used to support the business and identifies when to escalate to product owner including mobile tools and applications.
  • Researches new technologies that may improve processes for the campus and presents suggestions to IT Manager.
  • Performs problem management and root cause analysis on recurring issues.
  • Adheres to change management process.
  • Communicates issues to internal IT team and IT management in a timely manner.
  • Establishes and maintains solid working relationships with team and clients (campus staff and students).
  • Contributes to IT and the College's initiatives.
  • Cooperates with technical team and shares information across the organization.
  • Comprehends customer requirements and makes appropriate recommendations/briefings.
Other duties as assigned. What We Need From You:: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Technical degree or certification desired. Bachelor of Science in Technical or Engineering discipline, preferred.
  • Proven IT field service experience, supporting 50 - 250+ desktop users.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
  • Experience supporting SIS, LMS, CRM and learning components desired.
  • Experience with ITIL or similar Service Management framework desired.
