Senior Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role will take full ownership of several key financial processes—including commissions, payroll, and operating expenses —while supporting timely and accurate financial reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Month-End Close & Reporting: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis to support accurate and timely month-end close. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.


2. Commissions Management: Manage the end-to-end commissions process—calculation, validation, reporting, and communication with Sales reps and leadership.


3. Payroll & Reimbursements: Manage payroll processing, including all journal entries and payroll-related accruals. Manage employee expense reimbursements, including policy enforcement and resolving discrepancies directly with employees.


4. Operating Expense Oversight: Manage OPEX accruals and actuals. Meet monthly with business partner department leaders to review budget-to-actuals and identify key trends, risks, and opportunities.


5. Cash & Fixed Assets: Review bank reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset subledger, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.


6. AP & Expense Review: Support accurate invoice coding, timely payments, and compliance reviews of employee-submitted expenses.


7. Audit Support: Prepare audit schedules and documentation. Collaborate with auditors and support internal control efforts.


8. Cross-Functional Projects: Partner with business partners in FP&A, Sales Ops, and HR to support initiatives, improve workflows, and enhance reporting accuracy.


9. General: Improve current processes and perform other duties as assigned.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

1. Ability to identify and implement accounting process improvements around month-end close and internal controls


2. Assistance with annual audit


3. Coordination with offshore accounting team

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth or SaaS environment


• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and strong general ledger experience


• Proficient in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Excel


• Strong communication and collaboration skills


• Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-track preferred

Economic Package Includes:

• Salary $85,000 - $115,000
