Senior Human Resources Manager
: We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Manager to maintain the daily functions of the Human Resources department.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Is familiar with and current on California labor and employment laws.
- Manage employee grievances and investigations, including sensitive matters such as harassment or discrimination.
- Process Workers Compensation Claims.
- Process Notices for Unemployment Claims.
- Administer Benefits Programs.
- Maintain employee and labor relations with staff.
- Review, track, and document compliance with required training curriculum, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Coordinate with Payroll department to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including compensation, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Coordinate with Payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires orientation, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Provide support to staff regarding various topics such as leaves, compensation, benefits, etc.
- Further develop and update employee handbook and implement new policies as needed.
- Maintain employee files and confidential records in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate staff recruitment, including placing Ads, initial screenings, interviews, reference checks, background checks.
- Coordinate with Workforce development programs.
- Prepare reports measuring HR metrics such as onboarding duration and staff turnover rates.
- Organize and track routine employee performance reviews.
- Assist in other company initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- 5+ years' experience working in a similar role
- SHRM or PHR Certification
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of California employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
