Branch Manager (Brea)

We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee the daily operations, client service, sales, and compliance of a full-service bank branch. This role is critical in ensuring the branch meets its goals while fostering a positive and professional environment for both customers and employees.
What You’ll Do:
Management & Leadership
- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve branch goals.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with staff to provide coaching, document career goals, and address team needs.
- Promote core
- deposit growth through in-branch sales promotions and effective team engagement.
- Monitor branch performance metrics (e.g., deposits, transaction counts, cost of funds) and communicate progress to the team.
- Ensure compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily branch operations, including large deposits/withdrawals, NSF/overdraft approvals, and audit preparation.
- Partner with the Branch Operations Officer to ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly certification packages.
- Maintain operational quality control and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure the branch meets or exceeds performance on audits and compliance reviews.
Customer Service & Retention
- Lead by example to enforce superior customer service standards.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and friendly experience for all customers and employees.
- Resolve complex customer issues with diplomacy and professionalism.
- Work with staff to identify opportunities to surprise and delight customers, differentiating the bank from competitors.
Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive branch growth, including outbound calls, in-person meetings, and community engagement.
- Coach the team on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer profiling to deepen relationships.
- Partner with the Area Manager and Regional Sales Manager to implement joint marketing plans and cross-selling efforts.
- Actively participate in business networking and community events to build relationships and generate new business.
Community Engagement
- Promote the Bank’s CRA policies and programs by participating in professional, civic, and community activities.
- Complete a minimum of 10 CRA volunteer hours annually (compensable time with mileage reimbursement).
What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Skills
- Proven sales ability with documented branch growth.
- Minimum of 7 years in a branch environment, with at least 5 years in branch management.
- Experience managing complex business and consumer accounts (minimum 3 years).
- Strong leadership skills with experience in hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active involvement in local business organizations (e.g., Rotary, Chamber of Commerce).
- Notary Public certification preferred.
