Senior Accountant (Contract – 6-7 Months, Fully Remote) Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team on a 6-7 month contract basis . The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger accounting experience, advanced knowledge of NetSuite ERP , and a proven track record of operating effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities Manage and execute month-end and quarter-end close activities. Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis. Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation. Analyze accounting processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen controls. Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, and other business teams. Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures. Assist with special projects, system enhancements, and process automation initiatives. Support multi-entity and intercompany accounting activities when applicable. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Hands-on NetSuite ERP experience is required. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications CPA or CPA-track candidate preferred. Prior public accounting experience highly preferred. Experience working in a pre-IPO, venture-backed, or high-growth organization preferred. Experience supporting audit processes and SOX controls. Multi-entity or intercompany accounting experience.
