Job Summary
The Human Resources Intern will support the HR department by assisting with daily administrative tasks, recruitment processes, employee onboarding, and maintaining employee records. This internship provides a hands-on experience in various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and eager to learn about human resource management practices while contributing to a positive workplace environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with the onboarding process for new employees
- Manage and oversee the monthly insurance billing process
- Support the planning and coordination of company events
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the department
- Scan, index, and organize documents and files into OnBase
- Contribute to special projects as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
Must be actively working towards a college degree
Skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently and be flexible
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Basic math skills with the ability to calculate and analyze data
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must have the ability to work well with all levels of the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong tendency to take initiative
Physical Requirements
- Ability to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need require
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need arise
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch should the need arise
- Ability to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday
- Ability to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correction
