Forklift Operator

Indorama is a Pet Recycling company. Located in Fontana, California. We are currently seeking to hire 2 forklift operators who has experience with heavy Bales moving material and a strong record of safety in a physically demanding role. The main responsibilities are locating, moving, stacking, and tracking materials.
We have two open shifts Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 4:30Pm, Thursday Sunday 6:00am to 4:30pm

Job Functions:

Drives sit-down forklifts and other industrial vehicles such Forklift with Clamps as needed.

• Moves hazardous materials.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Loads raw materials onto conveyer belts.
• Stacks bales, pallets, inventory supplies, or other material.
• Ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods.
• Follows safety regulations and company guidelines.
• Checks that loads are centered and properly stacked.
• Determines when repairs need to be made on equipment.
• Rotates stock according to FIFO standards so that the oldest items are shipped or sold first.
• Loads and unloads product from and onto tractor trailers.
• Quality assurance (QA) duties, including reporting product damage and shortages.
• Shrink wraps goods or otherwise secures them and prepares them for transport.
• Weighs and records weights of products.
• Analyzes productions schedules to determine timely transportation of materials and products.
• Documents arrival, departure, and movement and storage of goods, checks trucking manifests and bills of lading, maintains inventory, and tracks fulfillment of customer and vendor orders.
• Operate a variety of highly sophisticated packing machines and adhere to strict production schedules.
• Work as part of a team to load and unload materials.
• Evaluate systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, and help maintain a safe, orderly work environment.
• Meet the performance standards for production and quality assurance.
• Report safety hazards, quality concerns, and production issues to a manager as soon as they occur.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relationships.
• Efficient individual with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance a plus.

Education/Training/Experience:

• Previous warehouse and forklift operator experience.
• Forklift certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Language English & Spanish (speaking, reading, writing)
• Ability to understand codes and fill out forms correctly.
