Enterprise Systems and Project Support Analyst
Job Description and Duties
Under the direction of the Information Technology Manager (ITM I) of the Project Management Branch (Branch), within the Information Technology Services Division (Division), part of the Department of Cannabis Control (Department), the Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) will provide enterprise-level system support and project management assistance within the Branch. The ITS I will support State of California (State) Agile teams and enterprise initiatives through business and system analysis, testing, project coordination, and system configuration support for the Department’s licensing and compliance systems, as well as other enterprise systems as needed. The ITS I will contribute to successful system implementation , operational stability, and continuous process improvement while ensuring compliance with State policies, governance standards, and Agile delivery practices.

Working Conditions

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
•Experience in maintaining critical IT systems and development projects
•Knowledge and experience with requirements analysis and software testing methodologies
•Experience with software release coordination and knowledge using automation and defect tracking tools
•Knowledge of the principles, practices, and trends of public administration, including management, organization, planning, cost/benefit analysis, budgeting, and project management; and State-level policies and procedures related to software development, maintenance and operations and IT Project Management
•Knowledge of IT Project Management and the California Project Management Framework (CA-PMF)
•Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
•Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of staff and management, communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of stakeholders including business users, peers, developers, managers, executives, and contractors
