Prime Analytical Laboratories, LLC (PAL) is a fast-growing contract research and testing laboratory located in Concord, California. PAL provides analytical chemistry and microbiology testing services for BioPharma, cosmetics, nutraceuticals, medical devices, and other life science industries. We are seeking a full-time Chemist to perform chemical analyses and develop chemical methods for our clients. We are looking for a person willing to work hard, with great attention to detail, great analytical chemistry knowledge, and experience, and a multitasker. Experience in a GMP lab environment is a plus.

Duties include:

1. Develop chemical assays for client projects utilizing HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-MS or LC-MS/MS equipment and techniques based on USP, AOAC or scientific papers.

2. Implement chemical assays based on USP monographs for different chemical assays like for testing raw materials and finished products.

3. Perform routine testing of samples utilizing USP methods or in-house developed methods.

4. Perform testing of large molecules samples utilizing testing techniques such as SDS-Page, A280, Western-blots, chromatography and other techniques.

5. Experience testing peptide products using LC-MS/MS and HPLC.

6. Ability to troubleshoot chromatography equipment (HPLC, GC-MS, GC-MS/FID/SPME and LC-MS/MS).

7. Hands on instrument troubleshooting and minor repairs.

8. Prepare protocols, SOP's and reports.

8. Compliance with applicable GLP, GMP, and safety practices.

1. Must be able to legally work in the US.

2. Hard working attitude and excellent work ethic.

3. Excellent technical skills.

4. Fluent in English (written and spoken).

5. Good team member.

Education requirements:

A bachelor's degree in chemistry or Analytical Chemistry with not less than 5 years of hands-on chemistry lab experience. Must have experience operating HPLC's, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS. FTIR and Karl-Fisher. Experience developing and validating chromatography assays and implementation of USP assays.
