Payroll Supervisor

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $85,000 to $95,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Using ADP Workforce Now (WFN), manage payroll operations for a workforce of more than 400 employees while ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing.
• Oversee payroll administration, including special payments, wage adjustments, payroll reconciliations, and required employee compensation changes.
• Maintain payroll procedures, compliance records, and internal controls to support regulatory requirements and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with human resources and accounting teams on audits, reporting, process improvements, and payroll related initiatives.
• Supervise and develop payroll staff by providing training, performance guidance, and ongoing operational support.

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Certified Payroll Professional designation is required.
• Previous experience with prevailing wage payroll administration, certified payroll reporting, and compliance related processes.
• Advanced proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft Excel, and payroll management systems.
• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, payroll tax requirements, multistate payroll processing, and wage compliance practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong mathematical abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and customer service skills with the ability to support employees and partner with multiple departments.
• Highly organized professional with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and changing business needs.
• Prior experience supporting audits, process improvements, employee training initiatives, and bilingual communication skills.
