TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified RNFA RN in Bakersfield, California, 93301!
Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant Profession: RNFA Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 10-Hour Days, 4x10s Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience in orthopedic procedures - Experience in robotic surgeries - Experience in neuro and gynecological surgeries Description: No first-time travelers are accepted. Experience with Cerner is required. Common cases include orthopedic surgeries such as total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, as well as knee and shoulder scopes. Urology procedures performed include cystoscopies, ESWLs, TURPs, penile prosthesis placements, orchiectomies, and open prostate surgeries. Gynecological surgeries involve hysterectomies, D&Cs, slings, robotic hysterectomies, a significant volume of gynecological oncology procedures, and salpingo-oophorectomies. Neurosurgical procedures include orthopedic spine surgeries, brain tumor excisions, craniotomies, management of subdural hematomas, transsphenoidal tumor resections, and VP shunt placements. Hand and podiatry surgeries, as well as vascular procedures, include AV fistulas, thrombectomies, carotid endarterectomies, and femoral popliteal surgeries. General surgery encompasses both open and laparoscopic procedures, including robotic surgeries. ENT surgeries involve tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, pediatric ENT procedures, bariatric surgeries, and ophthalmic surgeries. Call is required on weekends, and there may be a forced call requirement if staff members are unable to cover shifts. This is a rare occurrence due to the rotation of the forced call list.
