Job Description
- Develop and modify instrumentation and control system designs and drawings.
- Prepare instrument installation details, loop diagrams, and location plans.
- Review vendor documentation and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Assist construction teams with field issues and technical support.
- Support 3D modeling and drafting using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar tools.
- Participate in control system design including PLC, DCS, SCADA, SIS, and BMS systems.
- Assist with communication network design such as ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and system commissioning activities.
- Complete as-built drawings using RFIs, ECNs, and construction redlines.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, company standards, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
- Manage assigned tasks to meet project schedules and budgets.
- Perform design reviews and quality checks on instrumentation deliverables.
Skills Required
- Experience as an I&C Engineer
- Exposure to or experience with power systems
- Background in oil & gas environments is acceptable, particularly where facilities include on-site power generation (e.g., refineries)
Education/Training/Certifications
- Associate Degree or High School Diploma with relevant industry experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
