Dental assistant

Bay Area Implants & Periodontics is searching for a skilled and dependable Full-Time Dental Assistant with surgical experience to support our dynamic dental team in Morgan Hill, CA. The ideal candidate will assist in a range of oral surgery and implantology procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a sterile, organized environment. Dental assistant

Assist the dentist during surgical procedures such as implant placements, extractions, sinus lifts, and other oral surgeries

Prepare and sterilize the surgical suite and instruments, ensuring adherence to aseptic protocols

Provide chairside assistance, including passing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring patient comfort

Take and develop dental radiographs, including CBCT, full mouth x-rays, and oral scans

Accurately document patient data and procedures using Dentrix electronic health records

Educate patients on post-operative care and infection prevention best practices

Maintain a clean, organized workspace and manage surgical inventory

Assist with IV sedation procedures as necessary

Collaborate closely with the dental team to ensure efficient and compassionate care delivery

full-time $30 - $35 per hour

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Weekends: Closed

• Basic life support
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Dentrix
• Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (DA)

Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience, with at least 1 year in oral surgery

Proficiency in surgical instrument handling and sterilization protocols

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, patient charting, and EMR systems (preferably Dentrix)

Valid CPR certification

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to maintain patient comfort and work efficiently under pressure

Reliable with a professional demeanor and strong teamwork skills

• Implant Dentistry

Experience with IV sedation and procedural sedation assistance

Knowledge of implantology and prosthodontics

Familiarity with Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) technology
