Principal Engineer- WiFi

Our Industry leading WiFi team is hiring Principal Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you will drive the architecture, design, and development of cutting-edge, Enterprise / carrier-grade wireless access points, enabling enterprises and carriers to stay ahead of the rapidly growing demand for high-bandwidth applications.
How You'll help us to connect the world:
- Design and develop WiFi features that align with evolving standards, focusing on high performance, low latency, and guaranteed service delivery.
- Collaborate with chip vendors to drive innovation, enhance SDKs, and support multi-platform, multi-standard solutions.
- Optimize wireless performance for challenging environments, including high-density deployments and challenging RF conditions.
- Conduct performance benchmarking, debugging, and tuning of the WiFi systems.
- Collaborate across teams to manage project deliverables, dependencies, milestones, and product optimization.
- Collaborate and Lead technical reviews and architectural discussions to guide the team in adopting the best solutions.
- Partner with system engineers and product managers to meet customer requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Networking or Wireless and 8+ years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of WiFi access point (AP) architecture and WiFi standards.
- Experience in guiding architectural and design changes in WiFi AP products.
- Expertise in embedded systems, kernel, and device drivers.
- Strong coding experience in C/C++, Python for embedded systems development.
- Proven experience with SDK integration across multiple platforms with different vendors
- Strong understanding of WiFi communication protocols (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, 802.11ax, 802.11be ).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment, pushing the boundaries of technology.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.

Our salary ranges consider various factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skills, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with outstanding experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $118,200.00 -153,700.00
